The sun is finally shining in London, so what better time to pop out and visit one of the capital's dog friendly cafe places near you?
Luckily, us Londoners are spoilt for choice when it comes to good coffee. Furthermore, most respectable cafes will allow dogs in. As long as they are well behaved.
Just like with dog friendly pubs, not allowing dogs into their establishment would mean missing out on customers. There are now more and more cafes that allow well behaved dogs in. Some establishments do stand out from the rest though, by offering dog treats, water bowls or other niche offerings.
However, here are five tried and tested dog friendly cafes that are currently open for you to visit with your pooch. Some of these are more central, others in the periphery but there is something for everyone.
1. Paws for Coffee Dog Friendly Cafe in Hampton Hill
Paws for coffee is based in Hampton, South West London. very close to Richmond and Kingston.
Both of these places have beautiful parks for dog walks too by the way. So if you find yourself with free time one sunny weekend, this could be a great idea for a trip out.
The Paws for Coffee cafe has a dedicated menu for dogs, including puppacinos and dog sausages. The park nearby, Bushly Park can make a wonderful choice for a post coffee walk, including for poops and wees.
Address: 41 High St, Hampton Hill, Hampton TW12 1NB
2. The Nook in Hampstead
For those based close to Hampstead Heath, The Nook had to get a mention. This is a lovely neighbourhood dog friendly cafe.
In fact, on my last visit, there were several dogs getting a rest after a long day's walk around the park.
Besides coffee and tea, the Nook also offers hot chocolates, milkshakes and ice cream.
Its very close proximity to Hampstead Heath overground station and the park itself makes this an excellent location for a snack in the middle of the day.
We are planning to visit this location later this Spring, so look out for upcoming photos and menu recommendations.
Address: 43 S End Rd, London NW3 2PY
3. Broad Walk Cafe in Regent's Park
Those who live in North London might already be familiar with this location.
This cafe is the only cafe in the middle of Regent's Park, so to speak. It's located between the allotment gardens and the drinking fountain to the east side of the park. You might be familiar with the long avenue of trees if you walk from the north side of the park towards the inner circle.
It can make a great stop on the way and often have dog treats available for sale (including dog ice creams for cooling off).
This is also the place where toilets are available if you need to use them.
Address: Inner Circle, The Broad Walk, London NW1 4NP
4. Farm Girl Cafe in Notting Hill
Farm Girl is widely known as an Australian dog friendly cafe in Notting Hill. They serve some great brunch and amazing drinks from flat whites to Match and other team options too.
The cafe is actually located on Portobello road, so expect it to get very busy especially at weekends or on busy market days. For those of you who haven't been to this area before, Portobello Road is a famous road market place.
The market offers different goods from antiques to fashion and fruit and veg. It's open most days except for Sundays and the times vary. See the official page for more details.

You might have to queue a little if you want a table. If you're a fan of good hot drinks, then it's worth it.

If you find yourself in Chelsea, this is the place to check out.
Located on King's Road itself, they offer takeaways or dine in food and drinks. For dogs, they have some amazing food options. These include made to order meatballs, vegetables (to keep it healthy) and whipped coconut puppucinos!
