Modern Slavery Statement
FETCHED Superfoods ltd: Modern Slavery Statement for Financial Year 2023
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that FETCHED Superfoods Ltd has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labor. FETCHED Superfoods Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chain.
FETCHED Superfoods Ltd is involved in the production and distribution of organic superfoods. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, ethically sourced products and operate in the United Kingdom. Our supply chain includes the sourcing of raw organic and non-organic materials, manufacturing of superfoods and supplements, and distribution to both national and international markets.
Our High-Risk Areas
While we strive to maintain a transparent and ethical operation, we recognize that our supply chain, extending from raw material sourcing in various global regions, may present significant risks relating to modern slavery, particularly in the sourcing of products such as Spirulina and Chlorella from South East Asia. In addition, we also rely on a third party wholesale supplier for some of our other raw ingredients. However, they are also based in the UK and operate accordingly.
We operate several internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
- Anti-slavery policy. This policy sets out the organization’s stance on modern slavery and explains how employees can identify any instances of this and where they can go for help.
- Recruitment policy. We operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting eligibility to work in [your country] checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
- GDPR Policy.
FETCHED Superfoods Ltd maintains a stringent supplier policy and prefers to work with suppliers who uphold similar ethical standards. We conduct due diligence on all suppliers before entering into any form of partnership. This due diligence includes an online search to ensure that the organisation has never been convicted of offenses relating to modern slavery, and on-site audits which include a review of working conditions. Our anti-slavery policy forms part of our contract with all suppliers, and they are required to confirm that no part of their business operations contradicts this policy.
We invest in educating our staff to recognise the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and business. The training program includes [details about the training program].
