What are dog hampers?
We've put together our hamper baskets for dogs as an alternative to the traditional hamper baskets that are given as presents to one another around Christmas time.
What makes our hamper baskets special?
Our aim for these hamper baskets was to create a selection of the most premium products available on the UK market right now. We have not received any incentive to select specific products. All the products have been chosen by our doggo experts based on individual characteristics.
We asked ourselves; if price didn't matter, what would we buy for our dogs?
We have split our chosen products into 5 different categories:
Dog toys
The criteria here was to include premium feel toys from well known brands. We have therefore chosen the Barbour soft plush in the form of a reindeer.
We also went with a sturdy rubbery ball for playing fetch and a puzzle ball to stimulate our dogs' cognition and problem solving skills.
Dog treats
The most premium offering in the market, in my opinion are the Bonne et Filout macarons. These were a must for inclusion as they are hand made in the US with only natural ingredients, healthy for all dogs. Then we chose the peanut butter flavour as the majority of dogs will love this!
The second treat is the home made Biscuiteers dog biscuits from our local Notting Hill cafe in London. For diversity, we've chosen the Carrot and Apple flavoured ones.
Dog Grooming
We wanted to offer you the best dog shampoo available. There are several well known options, from Ouai to Kiehls, but only Wild. (our choice) has 80%+ organic ingredients. This was our reasoning for choosing this, as well as their hundreds of positive reviews from customers. We believe in the benefits of choosing organic whenever possible both for ourselves and loved ones.
We have also included a high quality palm brush from Mutts & Hounds that we have ourselves used and can vouch for.
As winter is coming, our third grooming product is the dog paw balm. Cold and dry weather can lead to cracked paws and dry skin. The balm chosen is 100% natural and handmade in the UK. It helps moisturize and soothe cracked paws, skin and even noses! It's also safe to lick.
Dog Supplements
We then included a selection of our own dog supplements. These are all natural and focused specifically on benefits such as better digestion, a calmer pooch, stronger joints and bones, or cleaner teeth. You can read more about them on their individual pages as linked above.
Dog Accessories
For our last and final product, we went for the Christmassy dog bow tie from Mutts & Hounds. Although a simple accessory, it can totally transform your dog's outfit for the Christmas period!
Which dog hamper basket is best for me?
We created three dog hamper baskets, based on your own preference.
The Happy & Active Dog Hamper is focused around an active and playful dog. Hence, it has the dog toys mentioned above, together with the supplements, bow tie and the same dog treats.
The beauty dog hamper is focused on the grooming aspect. This one contains the palm brush, shampoo, and paw balm, which the active hamper lacks. Everything else is the same.
For the ultimate treat, we have our all-encompassing Ultimate Dog Hamper basket which contains all 12 products from both the active and the grooming hampers.
